Hullo, meet Edward Contrary, formerly of Desiderata Valley. He's been relocated to the Silk Road to preform the role of peasant farmer. Unfortunately his wife and son didn't make the trip. So Edward will have to start anew.
He begins his life of toil.
He's visited by Lady Wan and bows to her.
Lady Wan is very eager to get to know help with- well not the labor, but her husband is in the field of science. Perhaps he can invent something a little more practical than Edwards rickety old hoe?
Edward is grateful to Lady Wan for being interested, but he assured her, over a session of Tai Chi, that his old how is all he requires fo the time being.
That and his watering can.
The next morning it's time to head out and find a wife.
Edward checks into what he considers a very pricey hotel, but it is in fact the cheapest.
He aspires to master Tai Chi, and who better to give him tips than the locals of Takemizu?
Afterward he begins his quest.
Edward gets bad vibes from this young lady.
She's a zombie!
Heidi Fuchs is an even zero on chemistry. We can do better.
But Edward is polite and introduces himself anyway.
That evening he hits up the Zen Garden and serves tea to the local ladies. Just to get acquainted.
The ladies like being served by Edward and flock to his table.
He's able to entertain them all night, in fact. What a casanova!
This lady in particular catches his eye. Her name is Lydia Coudrec. I wonder if shes any elation to Sinjin Coudrec.
Anyways, as the night goes on, the ladies slowly begin to lose interest.
Soon its just Edward and Lydia.
And he has to admit. She's a beautiful young woman.
They spend a little time together.
And Lydia's swiftly taken in by his shy nature.
Edward tosses in a coin, hoping for the best. Hoping Lydia is the one.
Oh, shut up, Well! What do you know?!
It's nearing the end of Edwards time here. He's eager to find Lydia again as soon as possible and ask her out on a date.
He spends his time waiting to catch her by tending to the zen gardens.
Dr. Cho is always saying how beneficial meditation is.
Edward finds it rather easy to agree with her. Meditations if very relaxing.
His time grows nearer. He hopes the well wasn't right. He hopes his future is with Lydia. It's hard not to feel the anxiety. To wonder if he did something wrong.
Then she finally arrives. Edward is quick to grasp her attention.
He lays his affections for her on pretty thick.
That night, before his flight home, Edward made a date to meet her at his hotel. He wants everything to be perfect.
They share a shadowed kiss under the Japanese Cherry Blossoms.
Love. It's true. Lydia is the one.
Edward can't believe it. He's so happy.
He drops to his knee.
Lydia accepts his proposal.
lol whut? She's happy to be marrying into a rich family? He's got a rickety old farm in whats practically a gutter.
Shut up, Mauricette, you're marring the moment!
They wed right there in the hotel.
Lydia's so happy to be joining his family.
I think Edward is my favorite. He's such a dork, but he gets the girl. :D
Yay! Home with a new bride. Edward has some weeding to do.
Woo! Bronze badge.
As soon as they were marrying both roled the want to have a baby.
Lydia is eager to start a family.
So into bed they hop.
Ahh, joy. A little lullaby rings their success.
Not that they know it. Edward expands his garden. He does have to feed an entire kingdom after all.
Now they know. :B
Despite being a little heavier, Lydia helps her husband out with the work.
Her baby is growing fast! Not really. It's just all they did when they were home was garden. so. yeah. not a lot to take pictures of.
Aside from gardens. Alright, so each row is a different plant. you got your tomatoes, Strawberries, Cucumber, and that far one out there is green beans, I think. eah, Edwards silver now. It goes fast getting those badges when this is your job.
In fact he's gold in no time and talking up a storm with his produce.
It's time to hold a meeting with the merchants and nobles. Edward tells them about his new bride, Lydia.
Sanjay is very happy for Edward.
Ramir's very happy for his as well, but business!
Right, yes, business. The tomatoes will be ready for harvest any day now. How does Edward suppose he'll distribute his goods to all the families on the Silk Road?
Suddenly they look over and Emporer Lazlo is there. Enthusiastically listening to everything being discussed.
To be honest, Edward tells them, he hadn't thought about ow he'd distribute the produce. His job was to grow the garden, not distribute it.
His superiors stare at him blankly.
Welp, time to head home. The wifes heavy with child, so I'll see you guys later.
Lydia goes into labor at that precise moment.
And the happy couple have a son. Ryouma.
Edward is so proud.
His garden is in ideal condition and his family is perfect.
